Excess weight is one of the first risk factors mentioned with sleep apnea.

I've been in this field so long, that I can attest to that. Metric shite ton of active duty service member who are not even remotely obese, body builders, and dudes that look like they run marathons. That being said, most are middle-aged or older, and overweight. I put myself on autocpap about 15 years ago, and one of the worst weekends I can remember, was the time I went to visit the in-laws and forgot to put the CPAP in the car.
