I’ve got a buddy who works for a construction company in the oil and gas industry. He claims they’re not considered a “service company”. However, if an oil and gas company hires another company to complete a task then technically they’re a “service company”. Only way it makes sense I believe. Thoughts? Told him to meet me at sonic but he refused.

They do a job. An infrastructure gig.
Not like a wireline company doing an operational service.

As someone who has been in the service industry for 16 years(car hop at sonic delivering foot longs) I would say he’s wrong.
