Same event, two completely different articles re: girls body found on I-10

Alright, so this girls body was found on I-10 last week. While one article makes it sound like she was sneaking out and running across the interstate at night, the second article states her body was "dismembered" and is a plea for help to find out what happened to her body and who did it...
Just found it odd that two articles could be so completely different talking about the same event. Not sure why this surprises me knowing the media these days

That is very strange.
The first implies that the girl was trying to cross the interstate to get to North Miro Street, but offers no reasons why.
The second implies she was out near the interstate trying to get a ride after an argument with her mother
And her mother also implies that she got in the car with someone

Body on interstate today is also a female and commenter on article said body parts everywhere

And obviously getting hit by a car going 70 could dismember your body, but writing that in an article makes it seem that it was dismembered by someone else.

right, id expect an arm or a leg or something to become detached it you get smoked by a car going 80+, people fly on the interstate in the east, myself included. but the second article makes it sound like someone physically dismembered her, a murder rather than an accident.

Especially because it also implies she was in the car with someone else:

The reporting is terrible. One of my family died in the accident involving the alligator on I-10 in NOLA East. They reported that the van driver that stopped after hitting the alligator was the one that died. They reported it like the van driver got out and was killed by another driver. It was the guy behind him, that couldn't stop in time, that was killed.

yeah, each organization picked different parts of quotes from the mother and used them to support their narrative. pretty shitty
