SF has so many different features and options, it's impossible to tell you what your experience will be like.

I didn't mind it because my company hired someone to set it up and update the data and features constantly.

This will help them scale down, if it is correctly implemented

We have a pretty advanced and built out SalesForce system. If we could get off it we would though. It becomes very pricey once they get you in, as it is very hard to leave.

Salesforce is not worth the money and pain it will cause you, however the "C" level people buy into the kool-aid SF gives them and promotional rates.
