re: RIP Wilford Brimley

I worked on a Public Service anti-drug video in around 2002. We asked Brimley to do the lead-in, conclusion, and a few shots in between (for no pay). He said he would do it on the following Friday at 10am - and to have everything ready to roll. He showed up at 10 sharp. Did his lines. No teleprompter. Took about 3 minutes. The young director said, "We'll need a few more takes for angles, etc." Brimley said, "No", and walked out.

And of course Brimley's bit was perfect.

Solid guy. Man's man. RIP
