Replacing/installing flashing around dormer

Buying a house in Midland/Odessa area. Inspector came back with some recommendations (NOT code violations). One of them was having flashing extending at least 1" up the side of a dormer....no flashing currently visible. Best he can tell, they either cut the flashing at the corner or covered it up with the stucco/veneer.
Anyone have any similar experiences? Attempted addressing it yourself?
What about paying someone else to get it fixed? How much did it cost....about tree fiddy?

I had it done on a house I bought, also found by inspector. Seller paid for it, I made it part of needed repairs. No idea on cost, probably more than $350.
