Just make sure it’s the transmission that is bad. Some years ago, I was having what I thought was a transmission problem. I took into the dealership and was told the transmission was out. Fortunately, a friend suggested I take it to a local shop. Turns out, it was the computer that was bad. Got it fixed and was still driving it 70,000 miles later.
$1.500.00 vs $9,000.00 for a transmission replacement plus they would have still needed to replace the computer.
Screw you Royal Nissan.

Get a rebuilt with warranty. No Brainer

Drive it for many years
Retain a value for trade in

If you go to trade in with a broken transmission , you'll lose that amount of money on the trade anyway

How much is a transmission from honda? I would heavily lean towards replacing the transmission, even if you have to finance the repair. Vehicles are too expensive these days. Unless you're trying to keep up with the neighbors and drive the newest car, I'd fix it and you can always sell it in a year or 2 and get your money back.
