Cozumel

I was thinking of taking the ferry over to Cozumel for a day. Think it's worth it? Is there much to do/see within walking distance from the ferry landing?

Do you stop at red lights?

They don't...

sure, they make sure there's places for you to spend your $, plenty to do on foot, or a cheap cab/shuttle, but it's a cool little island, and I've rented a car to explore it, which you can do in a day, you definitely don't need a car for the entire time you're there though,

Stayed in Playa 2 years ago and going back in October to the Royale...There's plenty to do within walking distance and you can set up an excursion through the resort.

We really enjoyed 5th...

Would the same issues/concerns voiced here about Cancun also apply to Cabo San Lucas ?

Rent a jeep in Cozumel. Then you can drive around and explore the island at your own pace. It was like $100 for the day.

We went to Playa and took the ferry to Cozumel and rented a jeep from the sister property to the resort we were staying at in Playa(it was a Palace Resort). There are restaurants and stuff within walking distance...you'll need to drive if you want an actual beach iirc; cause where you get off the ferry is all rocks facing the water.

It rained the entire day we were there...but even so....we felt safe driving the island. (just ruined our plans of checking out the different beaches that day).
