Aren’t BR forecasters somewhat handcuffed right now with poor Doppler positioning and it’s supposed to be improving any time now?

reminds me that I thought it was weird that Gulfport/Biloxi/Pascagoula area is covered by the New Orleans/Baton Rouge office, things north of Pascagoula is covered (i.e. Wiggins, Lucedale) are covered by the Mobile office.

With the radar in Slidell, that made more sense, but with the radar being in Hammond (using Biloxi as a midpoint), the radar in Mobile is waaaay closer than Hammond

Go be a weather forecaster if you think you can do any better. Yeah, we can joke about the weatherman being wring at his job all the time, but it turns out it's really hard to forecast weather.
