Quick question on the Kindle App

...and I'm sure I should probably know this....
But anyway, I have a google nexus 7. I need to rent a book from Amazon. I need the Kindle App can I just DL it to my "android" device?
I just got this thing a month ago. I'm still working my way around it. Sorry for the 2nd grade question.
