A friend of mine who is 45 was married to a man age 65. He died of a heart attack in December and Social Security says his widow receives nothing. They were married for over 10 years. He had not yet filed for benefits at time of death. Should she seek legal advice?

If no kids, she still has to wait until 62 or 60 for reduced benefits to get anything except the initial $255
