ETA sorry, I know this thread had a serious feel to it but I was pretty serious for most of it. I felt this needed to be said.

My thought is that people should pay no attention to anyone who proclaims who is and who is not saved. None of these people get a vote on that score.

What makes you believe this? I've studied the bible and can't find it in there.

Fair question. The word "rapture" is not in the Bible. And trust me when I say, I know how it sounds. It sounds crazy. And when I'm telling non-believers about my faith, I always preface this part with "and I know the way I see it probably is not how it will be, but I believe.." if I mention the rapture. Cause yea, it makes me sound loony.

I admit that the rapture is a part I'm not entirely sure about how it will happen, when it will happen, or any of that. But something in me NEEDS to believe it. It gives me peace (someone is gonna drop the "opium for the masses" line now, fair enough.) I like to believe it'll be exactly like the Left Behind books, but I know it probably won't.

Anyways, John 14:3, John 14:28, and Revelation 22:12 are all verses that strongly implicate the impending rapture (to me) but others may interpret differently.
