The Creeds you an I both confess and profess to believe declare the Church is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic. Roman is not mentioned.

Get your head around that and it will be a small step towards reunification of Christ’s body of believers.
A religion created by a king of England puts a bad taste in this Irish Catholic’s mouth

There are nearly 2 dozen Eastern rite churches that are Catholic and not Roman, so you're correct.

He is not.
The Church of England, for anyone paying attention, embraced first heterodoxy which led inevitably to heresy and apostasy. Jettisoned basic orthodox Christian doctrines. Taught a false gospel. Ordination of women as Priests and then Bishops. Now they ordain openly homosexual men as Priests and Bishops and have approved blessing of same sex marriages. The C of E has ceased to be Christian in any sense you and I could agree upon. Nor are we affiliated with the Episcopal Church in America for the same reasons.

I acknowledge he is the Bishop of Rome and the Preeminent Bishop in the Roman Catholic Church. He has no authority beyond that except in collegial sense participating in a council of Bishops like Nicea. I am subject to my Bishops and my Priest and follow them. They have a fearful responsibility before God Almighty for the wellbeing of not only the Church but my soul as well.
You’re right to call out the Archbishop of Canterbury. He’s presiding over and hastening the death of a once faithful Church. I believe you know the Bishop of Rome is not exempt from raising eyebrows because of some of his statements and actions. No man is perfect or infallible. Traditional Parishes offering the Latin Mass are persecuted by him, in some cases forced into storefronts, in an attempt seemingly to crush traditional, conservative, orthodox Roman Catholic families. Those Parishes seem to be where the faithful want to worship. It’s very sad. And sort of personal. My best friend since junior high school is being hurt by this persecution.

Bad enough taste to send money for bombs and arms to your brothers and sisters in Derry during the Troubles? Just kidding!
That wouldn’t be Christian would it? My family’s ancestors hail from Leinster, south of Dublin, between them, but nearer to Bray than Wicklow.
As far as a Church created by an English king…
There was a British Church long, long before there was ever a King of England. We had Bishops at Nicea.

Instead of giving her the blood of Christ, he took her blood.
