You're right, I was thinking an experienced nanny with grown kids would be better. But the time commitment and martial arts requirement plus degree requirement narrows the talent pool to about 0.

Reader comments inside the article are hilarious.
Out of all of the replies, I only saw one that really stood out on the whole "80 hrs a week" bullshite topic.

I've knew a few live-in nannies, and that job is, maybe not outright stated, 24-fricking-7...

Additionally, these pompous assholes have indirectly set the market rate for "Mom pay"... and so all of those mothers out there complaining that they're undervalued... you're position is only worth ~$129k

And she probably doesn't have access to a fricking Maserati either, haha.

Living in NYC, I've worked with clients that have nannies and I never knew how much they paid them or how common it is. That's on the high-end of numbers I've seen but known others to pay around $100k. They also don't pay for lodging or food and usually have access to a family credit card for miscellaneous expenses. Crazy

If you're working 78 hours/week, and consider that overtime pays time and a half, this only works out to about $25-26/hour base rate. That's not too great.
