Police: Child found dead, father dead in apparent suicide

According to police, the child’s grandfather woke up his son around 4 a.m. to tell him the 10-month-old was unresponsive. Payne said the grandfather found the child on the floor and called 911. According to the grandfather, his son hysterically ran out of the apartment while they were waiting for police to arrive. Payne said police searched for the father and found him hanging from the stairwell of an adjacent apartment building a short time later.
