re: Pianist Talk with Pecker - Ludovico Einaudi

Hi Pecker, long time fan. I thoroughly enjoyed the links (the ones I have checked out, anyway) you shared.

I have a couple of questions regarding Ludovico Einaudi.

1) You mentioned that his trips to the US are few and far between. I will be unable to attend the show in late October, when will my next chance be to see him stateside? Does he ever tour the southern region? Travel can often times be expensive.

2) Bella Notte sounds very familiar. Any shot this was featured in an United States motion picture? Does he have any other "appearances" in pop culture?

3) Does he come from a musical family? I was doing some light reading the other day on the genetic component of musical talent, so this sparked my curiosity.

1) He has 13 more shows in the US this year. Mostly on the West Coast. The majority of his shows are in Italy/Europe.

2) He's had songs featured in many commercials. Bella Notte specifically, I'm not sure of. Off the top of my head: "Fly" was once used in NBA commercials. "Primavera" has been used all over the place. "DNA" has also been used.

3) His mother's side of the family is musically gifted. His mother played and his grandfather on his mother's side was pianist, opera conductor and composer. His grandfather on his father's side, Luigi Einaudi, was the President of Italy from 1948 to 1955.
