Doesn't happen here, in a town where most look like a crow and not a swan.
Almost everyone is polite. There's a two lane (each way) road that goes down to one lane right after a railroad crossing. When a train is blocking the crossing, almost everyone lines up in the right lane so there's no congestion immediately after the crossing when it turns to one lane.
But, we don't have a bunch of rude pricks here, whether crows or swans.
ETA: And, if people do stop and talk, they move on when a car comes up behind them.

come on man they gots to talk to the cuz from up the skreet never know if they gon see um again
but yes this is a daily occurrence around my office when trying to leave, appears they take the same stance while in the flow of traffic on the street or blocking the aisles at the grocery stores
