It can be done in hours with special rush cases. This took top priority for obvious reasons.
Exactly. There’s plenty of lower priority cases that have been in the testing cue for weeks and months.

Right. Take the report from the parent, report it and let the proper authorities take over from there. Hands clean.
Do we know for certain that the school didn’t report him to Child Protective Services (or whatever that state calls it) or to the police department? If they couldn’t establish probable cause, the police or CPS might have only opened an investigation.
Just the investigation wouldn’t make it onto a rap sheet, and schools, like all employers now (thanks plaintiff lawyers) feel they cannot give any negative review of a former employee beyond that they would not consider re-hiring.
This is the world we live in. Common sense is severely short handed.

Has anyone reported on more of this guy’s personal history outside of teaching?
I haven’t heard about any family or much of anything before teaching outside of going to Oklahoma State.
Grew up in Chicago, a former Rugby team mate said he seemed pretty normal. Some women have been reporting negative dating issues with him coming on way too strongly and getting mad when rejecting further romantic interest.

From Chicago and rugby, I reckon that means this is probably his long-dormant Twitter account (blurry photo and different hairstyle, but guy on right favors him ):
Andrew, Drew, Andy…couldn’t make his mind up on what name he wanted to use, I guess
