OT plumbers, I need help.

I changed the shower cartridge in my shower this past weekend. Now, it is very hard to turn the handle. Is this something that will loosen up over time or is there an adjustment that can be made? Thanks.

You may have it snugged down too tight.
Try to loosen 1/4 turn or so and see if that helps. You don't want to loosen it too much or it will leak.

Hmmm....I thought it was with a wrench. Not sure of the cartridge type. Can you link a picture?

1/4 turn to check if it loosens. It may just be tight. I've put many on with new gaskets and it was snug.

I will loosen it when I get home.
Something else I noticed this morning. Before I installed it and after the off position was straight down or 6 o’clock with 12 o’clock being super hot. This morning for the first time it seems have all moved 90 degrees. Off is now 3 o’clock and hot is 9 o’clock. Any clue? Thanks again.
