Lake Hamilton is more of the party lake and is in town. Ouachita and Degray are both more out there and are both beautiful. I will say Ouachita always had really tall reeds in the public swimming areas when I was growing up, but if you have access to a boat you can have a lot of fun just finding an island with a nice shore, swim in clear water, and skip rocks with your kid.

Not sure about cabins for either, I lived within 30 minutes of all 3 of those lakes so we didn't have to worry about it
