Heidi either is too stupid to pick up what he's saying, or they have a pre-determine signal that they will have one dissenter to make it look like an "honest" debate or to relate to the people watching who didn't like it.

For reference, people may be thinking this is a big band era guy. An 82 year old would have grown up on early rock and roll and R&B, and been in his thirties during the swinging sixties.
