This is exactly why many on here commented about the lack of thought put forth by the City Parish, Metro Council and Parish Attorney when they decided to settle the earlier lawsuit.

The lawsuit filed by attorneys from the Roderick & Solange MacArthur Justice Center in New Orleans

New Orleans could do something productive for once and purge these cocksuckers from the city.

quote:

“At no time has the BRPD ever undertaken to address the problems of racial profiling and overt racial animus on the part of members of the BRPD, even though there is evidence that some officers hold such animus,” states the lawsuit. “Instead, the BRPD, Chief Dababie and Mayor Holden chose to consciously disregard and cover up the prevalence of racist attitudes among BRPD officers.”

Arresting people for committing crimes is not racist, you dumb motherfrickers.

If you don't want so many cops in your neighborhood, stop committing fricking crimes. I pay to put a cop in my neighborhood to keep your neighbors out. They never come through on patrol even though I pay for the service, unlike you, because they're too busy rounding up the north Baton Rouge trash.
quote:

“…as the protests began, the defendants created a plan to intimidate the protestors through the use of violent, militarized police tactics,, which included the use of batons, riot shields, armored vehicles, and armed officers. The defendants set out to arrest the protestors without probable cause, using the pretext that the protestors had violated a state law proscribing obstruction of highways and public roads.”

Let's take a look at this picture and attempt to understand why these officers may have decided to put on riot gear.
