I had the same issue. I just got some dirt and built a ridge around the house(pack it tight). I laid some sod on top of the ridge. Water doesn't go under the house when it rains anymore.

That and a "Sump Pump" should cure the problem.

Careful where you put that. If you block the natural air flow, you are opening up a whole new can of worms.
