The anthem is for all people of all races. Further segregation will only make things worse.

Yes, because every single one of us wants our own national anthem!

Will Cover is complaining about a single guy with a stupid opinion. It's hardly 13% of the population.

It's sad so many folks, black and white, fought so hard for equality, and now some want to go back to segregation. Separate anthems, separate housing, and more separation for blacks, really? What's next in this progression for only allowing segregation for certain groups?

The double standards applied the last 30-40 years has probably helped give birth to some blacks thinking it's OK for them to separate themselves. Today's young blacks have grown up within a USA, where it's OK for some groups to segregate themselves from others. While other groups are told they can't do the same or have any pride for their races or cultures. Some blacks would probably see no harm with having a separate USA anthem because it's already normal, in their world, to separate by color. One example is the TV station BET, and a TV station seems harmless to some, but this mindset of "It's our color and no one else is allowed here unless we say so" thinking is similar to what the old-white racist thought back in the day. Both these acts are racist in nature, especially when any group says only a certain color is allowed or accepted.

Sadly, many blacks under the age of 30-40 years old, have grown up in an america that shows them it's OK to segregate themselves, but it's look in the mirror time now. Any black person should ask themselves if they'd be OK with a TV station called "WET" on TV? I'm guessing that answer would be "Hell No!!!" more than not, but why is BET accepted within the black community? There's the double standard that helps enable the "It's OK for blacks to segregate within the USA" in clear sight for everyone to see. Now BET is just one example of enabling black segregation we're all witnessing more and more these days. Smaller acceptances of black segregation, BET, has snowballed to the point of some blacks now thinks it OK to have different housing for school, different national anthems, black only classes, and other separations based off color. This thinking of blacks being more comfortable with my own is an act of racism, that simple. I'm willing to bet white racist back in 1520's, 1830's, and during the 1920's felt more comfortable with their own race too. Aren't these white folks past actions and behaviors considered racist acts? Yes they are, what has changed?

True equality, is just that! True equality is the same rules and laws for everyone no matter color, religion, gender, or anything else. When you don't hold everyone to that same standard across-the-board, don't be shocked when those who've been treated with special-gloves end up acting like spoiled brats. Unfortunately, more than not, Humans will think they deserve special treatment after being treated like this overtime.

Suppose it's like having two children, but only one child can do whatever they want, while the other child is held to different standards. What child is more likely to think it can do whatever it wants overtime, no matter what society thinks about it? Many Blacks, the last 30-40 years, have grown up being held to different standards, compared to what others have had to live by within that same society. Good luck changing that fixed mindset, and it will take good leadership, setting healthy tones, to change this unhealthy environment.
