Changed the water filter and now the water on the outside of the door is slow to shut off. Took the filter back off and reinstalled it,did not change the slow water shut off. also had my son run the water at the door while i turned the valve in different directions to try and get the air out of that valve an no change. Do you think the valve is going bad? If so, is this the right PN Water Inlet Valve WR57X10032. Thanks in advance.

what do you mean "slow to shut off" like water is coming out of the line when you aren't pressing the lever for water?
If so that is almost always a valve that is sticking open. The issue is, generally when that happens it just keeps dripping out.
I would check the voltage at the solenoids, if you have power then the switch is sticking causing the solenoid (valve) to open and dispense water and the switch in the door would need to be replaced. If no voltage and you still have water then it would be a bad solenoid in the valve.
To me it sounds like you are saying you are dispensing water, and then after you stop water still keeps coming out for a few seconds more. A second or two is normal, the water is always in the line, there is a curve at the top that acts like a p trap in keeping the water in the line unless pressure is applied when the valve is opened.
That is a proper valve part number. Seeing that it's a two way valve and not the three way makes me think it's likely the valve.

Yes, when you pull the glass away from the lever it is now running longer than before the filter change. You are correct in stating that it would not stop instantly when pulling the glass off of the lever. Now it runs a little longer than before. Unit is 13 years old. $ 45.00 in the ballpark for that part?
