My GGGGGG Grandfather immigrated from Hess, Germany. His son, my GGGGG Grandfather, fought for the colonies in the Revolutionary War and against the Indians in Georgia.

Hi WWII Collector-

To be clear- this is probably very random??

I'm completely unfamiliar with how these forums work.
I am replying here, to contact you about a post you made a few years back.

That post has the comments locked/turned off or I would have replied to it.

It was your post about a grave stone that belongs to a b29 crew member.

Today, I learned that I have a great great uncle who was a part of that same crew.

I spent a couple hours searching the internet using chat gpt and aside from your post, I could not find any photos of the b29 "Satans Angel" or it's crew anywhere.

I'm sure you can imagine how great it is to discover the info and pictures you shared.

I never knew I had a great great uncle that was a b29 tailgunner in ww2.

Until today.

Funny thing is- I thought I was the first in my family to get involved with aviation, but it appears that I'm about 80 years behind a man I never knew of who's middle and last name I also share ??

Thank you!
