I'm offended because I didn't live in the past during the era you are talking about. I never owned slaves

I never said you did. But what does that have to do with anything. Because you don't like what your ancestors did, we should forget it ever happened. Sorry I will choose to honor my history and the people who suffered for me to be where I'm at, regardless of how you may feel.

The Negro race is the second minority in the U.S. yet they commit the majority of crimes. I guess the white man holding you in bondage gives you a free pass to do the crimes that your race commits

WTF, of course not. That is a MAJOR problem for my race today. I'm not even sure how you came to that conclusion.

I don't owe a Negro a fricking thing, because I never owned a slave

Where did I say you owed me something.
I always hear white people say this, but seriously I dont know anybody who thinks this way. Maybe I don't know the right people, but I don't know anybody who still thinks the whole "the man bringing me down" thing.

I'm not even sure what this means or where it comes from, but congrats brotha

It's our history. And we shouldn't ignore it. But we shouldn't use it as a crutch for our current situations. A black man holds the highest position available in our country... Twice. Let's stop pretending our history is holding you back from anything.

This much is true. I agree. As bad as Obama has been during his presidency. He has been a huge inspiration for black people everywhere. People have finally been able to see that it's possible for anyone to make it. That the sky is truly the limit.

I personally don't know anyone that believes that our history is holding us back. I'm sure there are people like that. But its far from a majority. There will always be ignorant dumbasses always.
