The strain is called Charlotte's Web, and it's a high CBD strain. It's usually ingested via cannabis oil

Technically, Charlotte's web is no longer considered marijuana. It's now considered hemp because they further developed it with below the amount of thc to be considered marijuana.

I've read stories that it doesn't work as well after they made the changes to the strain. But there's a lot if high cbd stains that have been developed. But growers are very tight snout sharing their genetics, only certain strains are easily available.

But, because it's considered a hemp oil, and not marijuana oil, it's available anywhere. You can buy it on their website. It's not cheap, but it may be worth the experiment.

Charlotte's Web Oil for sale

Maybe check reviews online. Figure out how many mgs of cbd they prescribe for similar illnesses. I honestly think a cbd strain concentrate would be the cheapest way go, but I've never heard of a hemp concentrate.

If there weren't cops and dea agents on this site, I'd offer helping even more. Good luck.

I have dysphagia, but not anywhere near the extent of what your uncle is going through. I also had 5 level ACDF. So my condition is understandable. No sure why hip surgery would cause that condition in your uncle's case. My surgeon sent me to the Speech Therapist at the Lake. Your uncle has a dangerous condition that could cause him to suffocate. Needs to be treated.

As an ST, my advice is take him to an ST. SLP. whatever. Speech therapist = speech language pathologist it's all the same creds.

Never heard of medical MJ helping dysphagia...but I'm far from cutting edge in my field.

Apparently there's been research

quote:

This year, Klein is beginning a new study at Israel's Reuth Medical Center with Drs. Jean-Jacques Vatine and Aviah Gvion, in which he hopes to establish a connection between medical cannabis and improved swallowing. One of the biggest concerns with chronically ill patients is food intake, says Klein. Dysphagia, or difficulty in swallowing, can lead to a decline in nutrition and even death. He believes that cannabis, which has been found to stimulate regions of the brain associated with swallowing reflexes, will have a positive impact.

Reading that, it makes me think pure CBD might not be the the cannabinoid he needs. Thc might be more important. But I guess Tel Aviv university is doing a lot of research on it.

Technically, if you can't find regular herb from a friend (or if you have kids in their late teens or twenties, from them), there are ways.

Craigslist Denver has a lot of things for sale, that claim they'll ship it. Obviously, I can't recommend it, but it's there. They may rip you off, they may hook you up. I guess it depends on the ad, and if they want repeat business. I've never tried buying it from there, because I'm medical, and get it cheaper from dispensaries (and help support the schools)n

If you can ,, you'd want a CBD strain, like dance world, harlequin, or ambulance. Here's a list of strains. Scroll to the CBD area. It's far from complete, but it's something.

I'd say grow some. But Louisiana has a mandatory minimum for growing. Once they remove that, getting caught with a couple plants wouldn't be a big deal. Especially if it were a retired man growing medicine. But with two plants, only way you're getting caught is if someone snitched.

Yea man - 5 years MM for cultivation of ANY amount is quite a deterrent.
