I have a monte carlo ss pace car(I'm about to sell) that'll slip for about 5 seconds 10-15 minutes into the drive and won't do it again. The computer diagnosis at auto zone said it was the shift solenoid.

Just something to think about....if your trans cooler lines are/were leaking then most likely something caused that. Usually dumb arse quick lube places doing trans flushes and not tightening , cross threading , or not having the o ring back on before reconnecting line. If you recently had the fluid changed , that would be my first stop. Other than that , maybe not today or tomorrow but you're looking at replacing the tranny. Also , are you sure it wasn't supposed to have Mercon V?
