I was the kid that would die before calling a parent for help. I definitely don’t want that to be my kid. My God, the danger I could have avoided if I just would have called a parent.

I was the same way.
When our oldest moved off to college, he got a flat the first night. I drove two hours at 11:00pm to change it, even though he said he didn’t need my help.

He’ll never not need you, in one way or another. I’m in my forties and still feel like i need mine at times. Wish she was still here
