When you make spaghetti, do you saute a little onion, bell pepper, and garlic to add to your red sauce?

I forgot to buy mushrooms.

I've been told by some eye-talians that I shouldn't.

I can't stand bell pepper

I usually just buy the pre made raos or batali sauce and add garlic and anchovy

Creative differences. But they taste so damn good in spaghetti.

I grow fresh basil & oregano just for spaghetti.

I'm not a big bell pepper person either. When I use it, I use small amounts and make sure that I cook it down for a looooong time before I add it to anything. I'm making a meat sauces, so like to have a little onion and BP to flavor the meat.

I do love anchovy though. Never used that, but : drool :

Not really. Just been told I shouldn't have any issues. Guess we will see when it comes time to trying.

If I do....then I adopt.

jk Nurse

Isn't the bell pepper, garlic, and onions the "holy trinity" or,whatever it's called.

I'm not big on the pepper either but saute some garlic and onions before I make any sauce.
