If there are no longer any fines, why do the cards expire? It’s silly.
I want to check out an e-book bc I don’t want to go to the library but I have to go into the library to renew my card
Maybe I’ll take a bath in the sink while I’m there

There are ‘item fees’ which means if you try to keep a book forever you will be charged, but if it’s a few days (weeks) late, no biggie
