Well in my scenario, there would be no rangefinder for him to keep. There would just be the rangefinder case and of course the keys inside the case. But also in that scenario the rangefinder case would be kept in his golf bag.
I'm glad your Father got mad at you for losing his sand wedge. Anyone stupid enough to leave a club somewhere deserves it... Ha.
