We are surrounded by extremely shallow, ignorant people who think they are better than everyone else while trying to convince everyone else they are wealthy.
Money shouts. Wealth whispers.

I don’t hate most people
But working at my church part time has really lead me to dislike people more

A homeless man came into the church office yesterday and yelled at me when I told him the only thing I could do was give him the number to the shelter. He pissed me off and when he said ‘I’m just going to outside and die’ I was like ‘see ya’

You’re still a young pup and have time to amass real wealth and focus on what’s truly important in life. I have hope for you.

I know it's a joke. It's just used so casually.
My Dad left a sheet metal job making a dollar an hour to get into the pipeline laborer's union, making less money because he thought it would be a better opportunity.
He guessed right.

If anyone has the right to be pissy, it’s a hungry homeless person who is likely ignored or mocked every day of his life. And he has to shite in gas station bathrooms or in open fields. I can give him a pass.

It’s a joke bc of how ridiculous & obnoxious it is. I have a real fondness for the hard working people in Louisiana and small towns everywhere. And full respect for your dad.

If he was that hungry he could’ve sold some of the gold chains he was wearing.

Of course he shouldn’t have been pissy with you. I’m just saying that most aren’t right in the head and the others are just overwhelmingly frustrated.
I can set him straight with my racquet for you if it makes you feel better.

I have some ambivalent feelings about him. He was a mean, abusive drunk with a quick temper, partially fueled by post -Korea PTSD. But he worked hard to provide, and showed me most of what I know about being a man. And how not to be.
Good or bad, I'm my Father's son.

He probably just wanted to shite in the classics aisle. Something like that.

I think we all have conflicting feelings about at least 1 parent. I finally forgave my father a year ago for choosing alcohol over me then dedicating his sober years to raising another family that didn’t struggle financially. I’m working on forgiving my mom for forcing me to be an adult at the age of 10 and being proud when she says we raised each other.
I made sure to be a present, supportive and encouraging mom to our son who was able to enjoy a full childhood before we began piling on responsibilities.

He wanted to sleep in the office until the cold weather was over

Come on, Tyga. I play up the rich, shallow bit here bc it’s funny. And you know it.
