The teeth part isn't a problem for you, huh?

Can you touch your chin with the tip of your nose?

Well hot damn. That opens up the possibilities.
Last week we opened a few Caymus Cabernet 2014, Silver Oak 2012 Alexander Valley Cab, Cakebread Cab 2013.
They all run about 60-80. They were all good but I prefer the Cakebread over the other two. Silver Oak is very big on the Oak flavor if that's your thing. Caymus was ok, but it's relatively young compared to the other two.
My go-to decent wine is Stag's Leap Artemis. $45-50 Cabernet Sauv.
For a steak, IMO, you need a bold wine like a Cabernet Sauvignon. You will have flavors like Oak, Cigar, Blackberrry, Dark Cherry, etc.
Pinot Noirs are a good light fruity red and the flavors will be light as well; Floral, Strawberry, cranberry, blueberry etc. I wouldn't typically pair a Pinot with a Steak but it's just opinion. Drink what you like.

You can get a nice Jordan cab in that price range.
But if you don't drink much wine, a big full bodied cab may be a bit much out of the gate.
Something like a Franciscan Merlot would be a good selection for a novice pallet.

Should we ever run into each other irl, I offered to pick up a bottle of Stag's. It would ruin her though... Pony wine just doesn't compare.

Ty Sir, and best place to get one of these?

Yep. That's halfway to new shoes for the horse or a month worth of supplements.
Aspy is horse poor.

Do yourself a favor, if you enjoy wine and drink it regularly, > 2 days a week, invest in a good set of glasses.
The same bottle will taste completely different from a dixie cup/ white wine glass / red wine glass etc.
You will get much more out of it drinking from the correct glass. There is a reason Champagne is served in flutes, beer in mugs, wine in stems...

You drink what you can afford
Scoobs, I do drink out of some decent red wine glasses, but I pour too much to save the trouble of having to get out of the tub.
