Complications from open-heart surgery. Sutures in heart started leaking due to blood thinner (Coumadin) dosage being too high and interacting with other meds. I initially thought it was caused by the membrane around my heart filling up with blood and squeezing my heart until it stopped. But according to what my cardiologist told me last week, I actually hemorrhaged basically to death internally. From what he said my heart stopped pumping because "there was nothing left to pump".
So I died.
But they revived me, patched me up, gave me some blood, drained out the leaked blood that had filled my chest, and now I'm getting better.
