Questions for those familiar with LSU-Shreveport and their MBA program. I'm looking at it because it's 100% online, reasonably priced, and can be completed in 1 year.

Has anyone gone thru the program and have any feedback or thoughts?

Also, for those of you with an MBA, do you feel the name of the institution matters much? I feel like it's a "check the box" with many of the types of more senior level jobs I'd be looking to get into.

I don’t think much of online MBAs

Its ridiculously easy. I did it right after I finished my undergrad. Done in 8 months after taking three classes two of the sessions.

Fun fact, your diploma still says Louisiana State University at the top.

This was my thought/ hope. lol

Perhaps I'm looking at this wrong, but i know all kinds of people with MBA's from all over. I feel like the title of MBA has propelled most of them to where they are, not because the program itself made them better equipped. Not to say the programs aren't valuable/ educational

It's a great program if you are just looking to check the box and not spend a fortune. I will say that it was basically an extension of my undergraduate and I didn't really learn anything new.
