Yeah, I'll never understand paying more than $500 for a soundbar. After that point, might as well spend money to get built-in speakers in your ceiling/walls or just go all out by piecing together bookshelf speakers, etc.

300 sounds about right... I am going to look into this setup because I don't feel like hooking everything back up in a professional looking way.
This seems much easier and the sound quality will be much improved than the sound coming from the tv
