I lived in the south through the summer of 07. Never again.
I visited my Mom in Miramar Beach a couple years ago in the spring and didn't even go to the beach because of the heat. And this was in April.

can't wait to get up there next week, this heat is oppressin' the hell out of me! everyone wants to go out on the boat today but it's too hot for that

I've only not lived in the South for a little under 2 of my 41 years and that was in NYC. It got hot there too. Not like here but still hot.

This is the OT after all. I should probably be less trashy too while I'm at it

I'm honestly thinking of stopping in San Francisco on the way, there is nothing more refreshing to me than leaving here with a heat index of around 110 and then stepping onto the jet bridge there with a about a 20 knot wind blowing 60 degree air right in my face

I spent a decade traveling the country for work. I always knew that I was home when I got off the plane and felt like I could swim through the air.
I also spent a number of winters in Cleveland and don't want that either.

If I had the choice I'd probably do it like my dad. He spends spring and summer in Montana and late fall and winter in the South. I have a job, a kid in school and a lack of funds for that right now though.

I'm kind of thinking about moving out northwest in a couple of years when I hang it up, summer there and winter(partially,) in Hawaii

Do you have kids/grandkids or future ones? That's the only reason he maintains a residence here. I'll likely be in the same boat. Have a 12 yr old little girl and a step daughter in her 20s here (no pics and yes I'm trashy).
