i was looking at the families' wikipedia pages a few days ago and all of them said they have at least 100 made members, most being closer to 300.
that seems like bs.

its a very good book. gives an accurate history of the five families and how they came about. basically an encyclopedia of the start of the mafia in the US. ive been more into reading books on individual characters right now as of late.
agree. ive been reading books on the hitmen of the mob lately. gruesome books

ny familes the number is believable. 30 to 40 years ago those numbers were way bigger. rico put a hurting on them but the families are still there, even in cities not named nyc

I always wanted to file a discrimination charge against the mafia since I can't join.

I said bosses not members. the frick i need to know every made guy in every family for lol? The gambino crime family has enough members, or had, that if a war broke out between the police and gambinios the police would legit have to call in the national guard. at one point they were pushing 1,000 members or associates.
my fiancee, who is half italian, her dad her dad has had some dealings with some of the families he is in the watch business. Her dad is italian her mom is russian. he's got some extremely interesting stories

of course not they would put a clamp on business and shut down the money. I'm just saying that's too many people of no consequence to know.
If you are on a mob kick watch mobsters on youtube. Watch the ones about Albert Anastasia, Gambino and Frank Castello those are my fav 3. Anastasia is the guy behind Murder inc
i never liked Paul Castellano; and John Gotti was overrated AF. Castello is the only one to really win the game and make it out with his money, life and freedom in tact.
depending on the type of person you are, you tend to favor a particular group over the others. The colombos were the most violent / ruthless of the bunch. The Genovese were the craftiest / smartest / slyesgt / mospt secretive. the hardest of the 5 to get into. The Gambinos are like the wal mart of everything and are the biggest. The Lucchese are businessmen who want to keep the peace at all cost

me neither. he only got his position from his marital standpoint. he was also a shitty don

he is arguably the worst godfather of modern history.

what? the guy was a terrible don and put most of his men on the radar of the authorities. the whole payment to the whitehouse ordeal was terrible.

that might be seriously the shittest movie i've ever seen in my life lol the last don. they tried so hard to make paul look like an innocent victim in the movie and it didn't work. ;

Frank was so well respected that when he retired they still used him to solve disputes between the families. Guy lived out his days in the waldorf like a fricking boss. was smart enough to realize when it was time to step down. the only real jail time he ever did was 3 years for contempt of court, when he refused to give up the guy who shot him in the face.. who was his own fricking driver lol.
his nickname is the prime minister. guy makes it to the top, never does any real hard time a day in his life, retires rich as hell and takes one for the team when he had a right to snitch, yeah that's my guy

Vodka and cranberry, and I hate people that don't tip, or don't send Cuban cigars, just to get your address.
