I work for the ambulance service here in Jackson. It’s a shite hole. The amount of assaults, shootings, ODs is ridiculous.

You have no idea. I didn’t add all the drug out psychs that we literally fight with on a nightly basis. JPD sucks with a few exceptions. Capital Police however is doing their best to restore some order.

Sub-headline says that Jackson "edged out" those cities. Look at the stats and it's not really all that close.

I live in the Northern suburbs of Jackson, but work off of 220 in NW Jackson. I’m not uncomfortable between 220 and my office, but if I need to go further into Jackson on occasion, any time I stop at a light, my console is open, pistol in hand, safety off, scanning side and rear view mirrors. Can’t be too careful when folks show no respect for a life.
