Modern jeeps are not dependable.
I have a 45 GPW (military jeep made at the Ford plant with a Willys motor) and it is very reliable.

The fanboys will go on about the rest of us just being jealous while we yawn over again explaining that these vehicles are silly, impractical maintenance dogs. Hot in summer and cold in winter. Poor fuel efficiency and they are manufactured by Chrysler which has a poor reputation for electronics.
But this is coming from a guy who rides Harleys, so I understand putting up with a lot of BS just because you like the ride.
Bottom line, your money and your ride. Do what pleases you.
