If I had a fraction of his talent and some equally musically talented friends, the ghost of the half fast marching club would be heard from all over the quarter, and then it could go visit the people who are destroyas.

I had the opportunity when I was younger to be a part of that Mardi Gras tradition. My grandfather was an Officer in the club and I was a banner boy for a few years when I was younger.

The year after my grandfather passed my cousins, brother and myself walked in his honor. They even made a special doubloon and cup for him that year. Definitely some good memories from those days.

I passed out on the st Charles median babysitting kegs one Lundi gras night when i was 18. I woke up to Pete fountains half fast marching band. One of the few times in my life I was accidentally in the right place at the right time.

He had a place in BSL and I heard him play a few times back in the day. Still have the ‘96 jazzfest poster of him in my house.
