In Italy, the number of deaths due to the coronavirus climbed by 760 to 13,915, Civil Protection Agency said on Thursday. That was slightly higher than the 727 people who died yesterday. The total number of infections in Italy increased by 4,668 to reach 115,242. It was the fourth consecutive day that new infections were between 4,000 and 4,800, leading officials to hope cases would plateau and decline in the near future.

Coronavirus Cases: 115,242
Deaths: 13,915
Recovered: 18,278
Active Cases: 83,049 – Currently Infected Patients
Closed Cases: 32,193 – Cases which had an outcome

If we're talking a percentage increase, then it's an improvement.

10,000 current cases with a 4,000 case daily increase is much worse than 100,000 current cases with a 4,000 case daily increase.

Deaths will continue as the sick people who will die already have it but new infections plateauing and slightly down is great news.

I think this is them turning the corner for real this time.
