I10 westbound completely blocked

Two really bad wrecks before and after Gramercy.
Both have entire interstate blocked
Wouldn't be surprised if one or both produced a fatality.

If past Gramercy you will probably start moving soonish. If before, it's going to be a while. Hours not minutes would be my guess

That wreck was being moved. Gas all over interstate though.
Big box truck rearended a sedan. Crushed up to the rear seats. Wreckers were there. Medivac was gone.

WBRZ Says Fatality

GRAMERCY - A deadly crash has closed off a portion of I-10 in St. James Parish Monday morning. The accident was reported shortly before noon Monday. According to DOTD, westbound lanes of the interstate have been shut down near the Gramercy exit. State police have confirmed that at least one person was killed in the crash. Sounds like the second accident, the one before Gramercy exit. I passed through the first one around 11am.
