Agency owners make as much as doctors without the student loans. Agency licensed staff make $40k to $100k plus. It really depends on the market and average premiums.

If you want to call producers agents then thats fine. I've just never heard of them called that and I know multiple agents ( I'm not an agent).

I guess our "argument" was based on me talking about Agency owners and not just support staff.

commissions payable to agencies still in same range, usually in 10-15% on the norm... always some exceptions... contingency bonuses are sometimes issued out at end of year bonuses to agencies.

Then I agree. The independent agency model is much more labor intensive.

State Farm Team leader/Office Manager here. Bad years 30k, Average years 50k. Great amazing year 60-75k.

And I'm an agent according to the state of Arkansas but not a state farm agent. Don't really want to be either.

Well yes...But I never said anything otherwise.. Anyone who went through that painful class and test and holds a license is quite simply and insurance agent

Seems like the way to go instead of listening to a bunch of slap dicks complaining about a 10% increase in his $80 truck insurance.

Hell we pay 100k a month on just health. That's a lot of vehicles.
