I had previously obtained an estimate from a Honda dealer for a new key fob keyless entry remote. The estimate was around $400. At a local locksmith I saw one of these and asked if he sold them. He advised me to order the unit online (cheaper) and he would cut the key for my car and program the unit. The total for the unit and his work was around $200, mostly for his work which required special equipment and expertise. I doubt the dealer would cut the key and program it for you at that price, but I can't say for sure. You have to make sure you can find a locksmith who can do the work. Not all of them may have the equipment or expertise.
