I have 10+1 of .45ACP home security on my hip, and 160 rounds of .223 and 7 rounds of 12ga ready to rock about 15 steps away.
I have Wyze home security, and I don't even arm that shite if I leave for the weekend (no you can't have my address). $2.99 a month without cameras (it's a rental, I can't be bothered to care.)
So you're not really worried about someone burglarizing your home while you're gone you're worried about a home invader coming in to murder you while you're there?

I'm 100% DIY. We live on a heavily wooded lake lot.
I installed about 40 X-Sense sensors and 4 X-sense base stations (Smoke/Carbon Dioxide detectors, Heat alarms, Water Leak alarms, Door and Window alarms, Solar Security lights/alarms, Mailbox open alarm, Humidity/Thermometer alarms). They work great. Based on which base station is triggered and sounds that I assigned by sensor type, we know what kind of alarm went off except the Smoke/Carbon Dioxide sensors also all go off simultaneously and by voice they all alert the alarm type and what room or location.
I also have WiFi outdoor cameras (EZVIZ, Reolink and Wyze) all over the place. Some have wired power and some are solar powered and away from the house. I also have numerous wired power and solar motion detection flood lights.
I also have motion detectors and cameras protecting our boats and water toys.
