Our evolution started slowing down a long time ago and is pretty much stopped now.
As a society we no longer allow nature to do its job. The weak aren’t naturally weeded out. Instead there are all kinds of reasons why the mentally and physically weak are carried through life and allowed to pass on these genetic traits. Could probably say that with recent trends lean towards weakening the strong, further ending societies evolution and causing it to regress

If people put down their phones and turned off the internet this crap would decrease drastically.
