How in holy hell did you know that?
I like the armored vehicles. I teach history at Command and General Staff College.

Keeping with the ground, but another era - what is this strange contraption?

It wasn't really a tank, though Darth - they just armored up a heavy lorry - the Germans tried to use it, tactically, as a tank though. It's a footnote.

I have a feeling this one is easy, too. But what the heck.

I don't know the model - but that's a minesweeper.
(I was a combat engineer in a previously life, as well, albeit briefly.)

German mine clearing vehicle concept that never got past the concept phase. K 617 or something of the sort.

Well, it is good to see that the track's rebound quickly...

Ok, which version of Tiger II is this?

I've got a book at home about the history of armored vehicles and this is mentioned in it. The thing would have been a behemoth.
Let's try something a bit different here....
What is the name of this decoration, what country gave them out, and what did someone have to do to get it?
Posted on 7/21/14 at 2:43 pm to Spaceman Spiff
Early version with the "Porsche" turret.

That's the Tiger II. I believe it has the Porsche turret which means this is not a production version.

Correct, sirs. The early Porche turret model.

I have no clue. From the looks of the helmet on the award, I would say German.

This one may be too easy....
Name, country of origin
(BTW, this tank is used in the online game "World of Tanks")

It is German, this version is actually from the German Empire. It's the German "Wound Badge", it's their version of the Purple Heart.
